Our Story
Talon & Light founder Jenna Gragg has worked alongside Lutheran High School in Parker, Colorado for over 10 years as a collaborator for their annual musical. After a particularly impressive production of Newsies in 2025, Jenna realized that her most fulfilling professional work has happened while working alongside LHS. When breaking down the reasons why, several became clear: she is respected as a collaborator and designer, she is paid well as an independent contractor, and she sees that all contracted professionals are treated with respect regarding their time and talents. However, beyond that, Jenna noticed that when the majority of the cast and crew’s ultimate focus was on something bigger than the show, bigger than themselves, excellence pours out.
Jenna wondered: Can an experience similar to this be created at the professional level? Could a foundation be laid allowing artists of any faith or background to participate in and experience care and excellence?
We are now exploring the creation of an independent theatrical production company in the Denver Metro area, and determining structures and foundations that could support the following:
Produce musicals and plays that enlighten and engage audiences
Welcome artists of any background and encourage them to grow and share their talents
Exceptional storytelling exploring a broad scope of human experience
Outstanding production quality that moves audiences
Artist & creator pay honoring training & talent, and encouraging excellence
Artist & creator scheduling that cares for the whole person
Opportunities for artists & audiences to dive deeper into themes of humanity & faith that are present in the stories we choose to tell
We invite you to explore our Mission & Vision, learn more about our founder, and connect further if you feel moved to be involved.
